What is NMEA buffer?
The NMEA buffer is used to distribute NMEA data communicating between navigation equipments.
The NMEA output of a device can be connected to a maximum of one or two devices.
NMEA buffer should be used to distribute data to more devices. We have designed the following NMEA buffers with different features.
NM-2128 NMEA BUFFER DUAL AUTO SWITCH 2 IN / 8 OUT
The NM-2128 NMEA distributor has two independent isolated data inputs and can distribute data to up to eight outputs. The NM-2128 features three operating modes, auto-switching mode, manual-dual mode and combiner mode.
In automatic mode, priority belongs to the first data input. If the NMEA data on the first input is lost, it automatically switches to the second data input.
In dual mode the distributor can be used as two independent distributor with one input and four outputs.
In combiner mode, it combines data from two inputs and sends it to eight outputs. It also calculates checksum for each NMEA sentence and indicates if error.
Special software solutions can be further developed on request.

NM-2128 NMEA BUFFER

NM-2128-M-1 Manual Mode: 1 Input 8 Outputs.
NM-2128-MD Manual-Dual Mode: 2 Input 8 Outputs. Dual mode: Operate as two independent buffers with 1 input and 4 outputs.
NM-2128-A Auto Switch Mode: If input NMEA 1 is lost for the set time, the buffer will automatically switch to NMEA input 2.
NM-2128-C Combiner Mode: It combines data from 2 inputs and sends it to eight outputs.

NM-2028 NMEA BUFFER DUAL 2 IN / 8 OUT
The NM-2028 NMEA distributor has two independent isolated data inputs and can distribute data to up to eight outputs.
The NM-2028 features three operating modes, single mode, dual mode and auto-dual mode.
In single mode, data from one input and distribute it to eight outputs.
In dual mode the distributor can be used as two independent distributor with one input and four outputs.
Auto Switch / Dual Mode: If input NMEA 1 is lost for 30 seconds, the buffer will automatically switches to NMEA input 2. Two independent buffers with 1 input and 4 output signals according to the DIP switch setting.
